Product description
A small 90 cm ironing board for close, precise work
Some pressing jobs don't need a long surface: a collar, cuffs, the hem of pants, children's clothes, or a pattern piece that needs to be set before sewing. For those, a small board is more convenient than a full one. It opens in a second, fits between the machine and the wall and doesn't block the way. This board has a total length of 90 cm, including the iron rest, and is the small version in the series.
Despite its size, it is built like the larger versions: a 100% cotton cover in gray, a dedicated iron rest at the wide end, X-shaped metal legs that fold into a flat profile, and protective caps on the leg ends against slipping and scratching the floor.
90, 110 or 120 cm: which board is right
90 cm - The smallest in the series. For a sewing corner, small pieces, children's clothes and storage in a narrow closet.
110 cm - A balance between size and space. For a small apartment and everyday pressing of shirts and pants.
120 cm - The longest in the series. For long garments, curtains and tablecloths.
The cover, the iron rest and the structure are identical in all three.
Common uses
Pressing seams next to the sewing machine - Pressing a seam open right after it is sewn, without getting up and going to another room
Quilts and patchwork - Pressing blocks and seams after each joining step
Collars, cuffs and sleeves - Small pieces that need precision and not area
Baby and children's clothes - A whole item fits on the surface
Fusing interfacing onto small pattern pieces - Pockets, button plackets and collars
Who it's for
Seamstresses with a home sewing corner who want a board right next to the machine, quilters and patchworkers, fashion design students in a small room or dorm, sewing classes and schools that set up several stations in one room, and anyone who already has a large board and needs a second board next to the sewing machine. For institutions and businesses we also supply quantity orders.
Professional tips
Rotate the garment, don't spread it out: For a garment larger than the surface, rotate it around the board in sections - start from the back and move to the fronts.
Press quilts with a press and lift: Lower the iron, press and lift, without gliding. That way the blocks don't stretch and keep their shape.
Seams toward the dark side: In patchwork, press the seam allowance toward the dark fabric, so it doesn't show through the light fabric.
Protection when fusing interfacing: Place baking paper or a cloth under the piece, so excess adhesive doesn't stick to the cover.
Close to the machine, away from the walkway: Place the board at an angle to the machine, so you turn to it without getting up and without blocking the way.
Common mistakes
A small board for pressing the whole house: For bed linen, curtains and tablecloths 90 cm is short. The 110 and 120 cm versions suit that.
Interfacing directly on the cover: Adhesive left on the cover transfers to the next garment.
Folding while the iron is still hot on it: Take the iron off and let it cool, and only then fold.
Ironing over pins: Plastic heads melt and even metal pins leave a mark. Take them out before pressing.
A board right against the wall when steaming: Leave a small gap so the moisture can evaporate.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What is the length of the small ironing board?
The total length is 90 cm, including the iron rest. This is the smallest version of the model, which suits a sewing corner and small pieces.
What is the difference between the 90 cm version and the 110 and 120 cm versions?
The difference is in length only. The cover, the iron rest and the metal legs are identical in all three versions. The 90 cm version takes up the least space, and the 110 and 120 cm versions give more surface for large garments.
What is the cover made of?
The cover is made of 100% cotton in a gray shade. Cotton glides under the iron, lets steam pass through it and does not catch on fabric.
Why is a small ironing board worth having next to the sewing machine?
Because in sewing you press almost every seam before moving on to the next step. A 90 cm board fits next to the machine even in a small room, so you can press while working without getting up and going to another room.
Can I order several boards for a class or a sewing school?
Yes. HaBayit LaBubot is a direct importer and supplies bulk orders for institutions, classes, studios and businesses. For details: phone 03-9444226 or WhatsApp 055-2473993.
Why a cotton cover?
Cotton withstands the heat of the iron, breathes and lets steam pass through it, so the garment smooths out without scorching or shine.
What is the role of the iron rest?
This is the place to set the hot iron between passes, so it doesn't stand on the cover and doesn't fall off the board.
Is the board suitable for a steam iron?
Yes. The cotton cover suits pressing with steam, and the iron rest holds the iron between passes.
How do I store the board?
Fold it after the cover has cooled and dried, and store it standing or hanging in a dry place. The small size fits easily behind a door or in a closet.
When is it worth replacing a cover?
When scorch marks appear, when the cover tears or when the padding underneath gets compressed and leaves marks on the garment.
