Product description
110 cm ironing board: everything you need, in less space
Not every work corner has room for a full-length ironing board. In a small apartment, in a workshop sharing a room with a closet, or in a studio where every meter is used, ten centimeters less makes a difference: in opening it, in moving around the board and in storage. This board has an overall length of 110 cm, including the iron rest, and keeps the components that matter in work: a 100% cotton cover, a dedicated iron rest and a crossed metal base.
The iron rest at the wide end is built as a frame with grip pads, so the iron stands upright and doesn't slide when you turn a garment or change sides. The X-shaped metal legs open to a stable stance and close to a flat profile. The protective caps at the ends of the legs hold the board in place and prevent scratches on the floor.
The gray cover glides under the iron, breathes for steam and doesn't highlight every small sign of use. This way the board looks tidy even after everyday work.
90, 110 or 120 cm: how to choose
The model exists in three overall lengths: 90, 110 and 120 cm. The 110 cm version is the middle one, and suits when space is limited, when the board moves between rooms, or when you mostly work on shirts, sleeves, hems and seams. The 120 cm version gives more surface for long garments, curtains and wide pieces of fabric, and the 90 cm version is the smallest, for a sewing corner and small pieces. The cover, the iron rest and the structure are identical in all of them.
What it's used for
Everyday ironing in a small apartment - shirts, trousers and work clothes
Sewing work next to the machine - opening seams and pressing hems while sewing
Repairs and shortening - setting a fold before sewing a hem
Preparing garments for shipping - smoothing an item before folding and packing
An additional ironing station in a studio - an auxiliary board beside the main station
Who it's for
Seamstresses working from home in a shared room, fashion design students in a rented apartment, small repair workshops, stores and boutiques with a cramped stockroom, and schools and sewing classes that need several ironing stations in one room. For institutions and businesses we also supply quantity orders.
Professional tips
Close to the machine: in sewing, you press each seam before sewing a seam that crosses it. When the board is a step from the machine, it's easier not to skip this stage.
Orient the board by your hand: someone who irons with the right hand places the iron rest on the right side, and someone who irons with the left - on the left side. This way the iron returns to its place without passing over the garment.
The tapered end for sleeves: pull a sleeve or a round hem over the narrow part and press while rotating.
A long garment in sections: start from the top and move the garment downward. The part already pressed stays hanging from the wide side.
Delicate fabrics: silk, viscose and synthetics are ironed at low heat and from the inside of the fabric.
Common mistakes
A board too long for the room: a board that doesn't open comfortably simply stays closed. Measure the space before choosing a length.
Standing it on an uneven surface: a thick rug or a threshold causes wobbling. Stand the board on a level floor.
Filling water over the board: dripping on the cover leaves stains. Fill the iron away from the board.
Storing while the cover is damp: after steam ironing, let the cover dry, and only then fold and store.
Ironing directly on prints and decorations: iron from the inside or through a press cloth.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What is the length of the ironing board?
The total length is 110 cm, including the iron rest. This is the compact version of the model, which suits small rooms and crowded workstations.
What is the difference between the 110 cm version and the 90 and 120 cm versions?
The difference is in length only. The cover, the iron rest and the metal legs are identical in all three versions. The 110 cm version is the middle one: it saves space compared to 120 cm and gives more surface than the 90 cm version.
What is the cover made of?
The cover is made of 100% cotton in a gray shade. Cotton glides under the iron, lets steam pass through it and doesn't catch on the fabric.
Is a 110 cm board also suitable for long garments?
Yes, you iron in sections. Start from the top and move the garment along the surface. For regular work on curtains or long dresses, the 120 cm version is more comfortable.
Can I order several boards for a studio or a sewing school?
Yes. HaBayit LaBubot (the House of Dress Forms and Display Mannequins) is a direct importer and supplies bulk orders to institutions, studios and businesses. For details: phone 03-9444226 or WhatsApp 055-2473993.
Why a cotton cover?
Cotton withstands the heat of the iron, breathes and lets steam pass through it, so the garment smooths out without scorching or getting shiny.
What is the role of the iron rest?
This is the place to set the hot iron between passes, so it doesn't stand on the cover and doesn't fall off the board.
Is the board suitable for a steam iron?
Yes. The cotton cover suits pressing with steam, and the iron rest holds the iron between passes.
How do I store the board?
Fold it after the cover has cooled and dried, and store it standing or hanging in a dry place.
When should I replace a cover?
When scorch marks appear, when the cover tears or when the padding underneath gets compressed and leaves marks on the garment.
