Garment Covers with a Logo for Your Business: Material, Printing Method and Ordering Process

A guide for businesses ordering garment covers with a logo: which material suits printing, screen or digital printing, logo size and placement, colors and contrast, what to prepare before ordering and how to plan the timeline.
A garment cover with a logo is a fabric cover printed with your business name, used to hand the garment over to the customer instead of a plastic bag. We print on non-woven fabric covers in black or white, using screen printing or digital printing, on an A4 print area. Before production we check the file and send a mockup for approval; orders start at 30 units, and preparation takes 1 to 4 business days from the moment the mockup is approved. This guide explains how to choose the cover model, printing method, size, placement and colors, and what to prepare so the order goes through without unnecessary rounds of corrections.
Why businesses are switching to branded fabric covers
A clear plastic bag is usually thrown away the moment the garment reaches the closet. A fabric cover is kept, because it keeps protecting the garment from dust and light. When your logo is printed on it, your business name sits in the customer's closet, in the car and at the event venue, every time the garment comes out of the cover.
Common uses by type of business:
Bridal salons and evening dress designers: the handover is part of the experience, and the gown leaves the salon in a cover bearing the designer's name.
Suit shops, tailors and dressmakers: a finished garment is handed to the customer in a uniform, tidy cover.
Laundries and dry cleaners: replacing the plastic bag with a cover the customer keeps and reuses.
Dress and costume rental: the cover returns to the shop with the garment, and your business name appears on it with every rental.
Boutiques, studios and productions: a row of matching covers in the storeroom, fitting area or on a photo set, with quick identification of every garment.
Which material is right for logo printing
The material determines both the print quality and what the customer will do with the cover afterwards. The three common types of cover are very different from one another:
Non-woven fabric: fibers pressed and bonded together without weaving. The fabric breathes, blocks light and protects from dust, and its surface is smooth enough for the logo to come out sharp and clean. This is the material we print logos on, in two cover colors: black and white. It suits both handover and long-term storage in the customer's closet.
PEVA: a flexible, waterproof plastic, thicker than a plastic bag. It suits transport and travel, but it doesn't breathe, so it isn't meant for months of storage. The printing service is defined for non-woven covers, so if a branded PEVA cover specifically matters to you, check with our team before planning the order.
Thin PE bag: a clear plastic bag without a zipper, meant for moving the garment over a short distance. It isn't meant to be kept by the customer, so it is less suitable as a branding vehicle.
A full explanation of the differences between materials, lengths and gussets is in the guide Dress and suit covers: how to choose. Here we focus on what changes when you add a logo.
Choosing the cover model by garment type
In a branded order you first choose the cover model and size, and only then match the print placement to it. The length rule: measure from the top of the hanger to the hem of the garment and add 10 to 15 cm. Most models are 60 cm wide.
Wedding dresses and full gowns: a 180 cm cover with a side gusset, such as the white non-woven bridal gown cover with a 25 cm gusset, which leaves room for a full skirt and layers of tulle. It has a clear window, so the logo is planned so it doesn't clash with the window.
Suits, jackets and short dresses: a 100 to 120 cm cover. The 60x100 cm breathable garment cover made of non-woven fabric comes in black and white, with a full-length zipper and top and bottom carry handles.
Laundries and businesses with a range of lengths: the non-woven cover in six sizes, in lengths of 80, 100, 120, 140, 160 and 180 cm, with a full-length center zipper and a clear window with a pocket. A note with the customer's name or garment details goes into the pocket and can be seen without opening the cover.
Rental and travel: foldable 180 cm covers that fold down to 60×90 cm, with carry handles. With a foldable cover, check in the mockup where the logo sits when the cover is folded and carried like a bag.
If you sell both long and short garments, it is worth ordering both lengths with the same logo so the look stays consistent. All models are in the Dress and suit covers category.
Screen printing or digital printing
The logo is printed using one of two methods, and our team chooses the method according to the file and the type of cover, with an explanation before work begins:
Screen printing: suits a logo in one to three solid colors, and gives full, durable color coverage. It is a natural choice for a clean, graphic logo and for large quantities.
Digital printing: suits a logo with color gradients, fine details or many shades that are hard to reproduce with screen printing.
As general background from the printing world: in screen printing a separate screen (stencil) is prepared for each color in the design, so every additional color adds setup work. For the same reason, the unit cost of screen printing drops as the quantity grows, because the same screens are used for the whole order. Digital printing lays the ink directly on the material without screens, so it handles gradients and many shades well. The preference for a vector file is related to this too: to separate a logo into colors for screen printing, you need a file in which each color is a separate, sharp shape.
Planning a garment cover with a logo: size and placement
The print area is A4, i.e. 21 by 29.7 cm. Within this area the logo is placed at a size that suits the cover. On a 60 cm wide cover, a full A4 width takes up about a third of the front, so even a logo at maximum size leaves clean margins on both sides.
Points worth checking before you approve the placement:
Zipper: on a cover whose zipper runs down the center, the logo should sit so the zipper doesn't cut through it.
Clear window or pocket: on models with an identification window, the logo should be on the fabric, not on the window.
Handles and folding: on a foldable cover, check that the logo is visible when the cover is folded and carried as well.
Cover length: the same logo looks different on a 100 cm cover and on a 180 cm cover. If you order two lengths, ask to see the mockup for each of them.
Colors and contrast on a black or white cover
The recommended number of colors in the logo is 1 to 3. A simple logo with few colors comes out sharper and more even on fabric, especially with screen printing. Most brands have a single-color version of their logo, and it is worth using it.
White cover: suits a logo in a dark shade, which stands out well against a light background.
Black cover: suits a white or light-colored logo. A dark gray logo on a black cover almost disappears.
Two more things worth knowing: very thin lines and small text can get lost in the fabric texture, so if your logo includes a small slogan, consider printing without it. And a logo that looks good on screen can look different on fabric, which is exactly why there is a mockup stage.
What to prepare before ordering
Vector logo file: AI, EPS or vector PDF. A screenshot of the logo from your website will almost always come out blurry. If you only have an image file, send it at the highest resolution you have, and our team will check whether it is suitable for printing.
Logo version for printing: decide in advance whether to print the full logo, a single-color version or a version without the slogan. If your brand has a defined color code, attach it to the file.
Cover color: black or white, according to the contrast with the logo colors.
Models and quantities: which models, which lengths and how many units of each. The minimum order is 30 units.
Placement preference: if you have a preference for the height or side of the logo, mention it in your first inquiry so the first mockup is close to what you want.
Target date and delivery method: shipping or self-pickup from the showroom at Kfar Giladi 15, Tel Aviv.
The ordering process and timeline
Send the logo file, preferably in vector format.
Our team checks the resolution, colors, and whether there are details too fine that might disappear in printing.
You receive a mockup of the logo on the cover, at the exact size and placement.
After approval, the order goes to print.
Every cover is inspected before packing, and the order is shipped or collected from the showroom in Tel Aviv.
Preparation takes 1 to 4 business days, depending on quantity, and it is counted from the moment the mockup is approved, not from your inquiry. So it is worth sending a proper file and approving the mockup promptly. With shipping, delivery takes up to 6 business days in most of the country and up to 10 business days to remote localities, according to our shipping policy. If you are working toward a fixed date, such as a season opening or a collection launch, count backwards: file check and mockup, preparation days and shipping time, or plan a self-pickup.

Frequently asked questions
Can a logo be printed on a PEVA garment cover?
HaBayit LaBubot's logo printing service is designed for garment covers made of non-woven fabric in black or white. Non-woven fabric is smooth enough for the logo to come out crisp, and it is also breathable and suitable for long-term storage. If you need a branded cover in another material, check with the team before ordering.
Which cover color should I choose for a dark logo and for a light logo?
A dark logo stands out on a white cover, and a white or light-colored logo stands out on a black cover. A dark gray logo on a black cover almost disappears. If the logo has several colors, consider a single-color version that suits the cover color.
Can I order covers in different lengths with the same logo?
Yes, and for a business that sells both long and short garments it's recommended, to keep the look consistent. Ask for a mockup for each length, because the same logo looks different on a 100 cm cover and on a 180 cm cover. Coordinate how the quantities are split between the lengths with the team.
Is it worth printing the slogan together with the logo on the cover?
Very thin lines and small text can get lost in the fabric texture and come out illegible. If the slogan is small relative to the logo, it is usually better to print without it. The pre-production mockup is the place to check whether it is legible at print size.
When is screen printing more cost-effective than digital printing?
Generally in the printing world, screen printing requires a separate screen for each colour, and the same screens are used for the whole order, so the cost per unit drops as the quantity grows. Digital printing needs no screens and suits logos with colour gradients and fine details. For an actual order, the team chooses the method based on the logo file and the type of cover.
How far ahead should I order logo garment covers before a season or event?
Production time is 1 to 4 business days depending on quantity, counted from approval of the mockup. Add to that the file check and mockup stage, plus shipping of up to 6 business days to most of the country and up to 10 to remote areas. Self-pickup from the Tel Aviv showroom saves the shipping time.
Is a branded fabric cover suitable for a laundry or dry cleaner?
Yes. A laundry that replaces the plastic bag with a branded fabric cover gives the customer a cover they keep and reuse, with the business name on it. A model with a clear window and a pocket lets you insert a note with the customer's name and identify the garment without opening the zipper.
Where do you place the logo on a cover with a center zipper?
Place the logo so the zipper doesn't cut through it. The exact size and placement are shown in the mockup sent before production, and that is the place to check this point in particular. On models with a clear window, also check that the logo sits on the fabric and not on the window.
What should I check in the mockup before approving printing?
Check the logo's size and position relative to the zipper, window and handles, its contrast against the cover color, and the legibility of fine details and small text. The mockup is the stage for corrections, because a logo that looks good on screen can look different on fabric. The lead time starts counting only after approval.
Which logo cover suits a bridal salon?
For a wedding dress with a full skirt or layers of tulle, a 180 cm cover with a 25 cm side gusset is suitable, so the dress isn't crushed. A white non-woven cover suits a dark-colored logo. On a model with a clear window, place the logo on the fabric, and confirm with our team that the model is suitable for printing.
