Product description

Full-Length Garment Cover with a Clear Window for Quick Identification

This garment cover is made for long garments that a 100 cm cover does not fully cover: evening gowns, slim-cut wedding dresses, suits, long coats and stage costumes. It is 180 cm long and 60 cm wide, so it covers the garment from the shoulders to the hem and fits any standard wardrobe and any hanging rack in a shop.

The fabric is white non-woven: a soft synthetic sheet with a porous structure of fine fibers that lets air through better than sealed nylon. The garment is protected from dust, stains and friction against other clothes in the wardrobe, without being shut inside a layer of plastic that traps moisture. The black trim along the edges reinforces the seams and gives the cover a neat, clean look.

At the top there is a clear window through which you can see the collar, the fabric and the color. In a wardrobe with ten white covers, this is the difference between pulling out the right one at once and opening every zipper. The zipper runs the full length of the cover, from top to bottom, so you can put a long garment in on its hanger without folding it and without pulling the fabric through a narrow opening.

Common Uses

  • Seasonal storage at home – coats, suits and evening gowns you do not wear every week

  • Wedding or evening dress after the event – long-term wardrobe storage, after cleaning

  • Designers and seamstresses – handing a finished dress to a client, less folded and better protected

  • Fashion shops and dress salons – hanging display items and stock without letting them gather dust

  • Clothing and costume rental – transport between customers and events, and quick identification through the window

  • Theater, productions and fashion shoots – keeping costumes safe between rehearsals and shooting days

  • Traveling to an event – carrying a suit or long dress in the car, hanging from a hook

Who the Cover Is For

For the private buyer, the cover is a simple way to protect an expensive garment and find it quickly. For business owners – bridal salons, evening wear shops, tailoring workshops, dry cleaners, rental shops and design studios – it is a consumable item bought in quantity. How to Choose Between Our Garment Covers

This model is a flat cover, white with a black trim and a clear window. It suits long garments with a regular cut, when it matters to see the garment without opening the cover. If you need a fully opaque cover that hides the garment and also protects from light, a black cover without a window is better. For a full dress with petticoats or a train, choose a cover with a side gusset so it does not crush the volume. You can compare all models in the Dress and Suit Covers category.

Professional Tips

  • Measure before you choose: measure the garment from the shoulder to the hem. The cover should be at least 10 cm longer, to leave room for the hanger and keep the hem from dragging on the wardrobe floor.

  • Only put in a clean, dry garment: a stain left in the fabric tends to set and yellow over time. Clean it, dry it completely, and only then close the zipper.

  • A wide-shouldered hanger: for heavy dresses and coats, use a hanger with wide shoulders. A thin wire hanger leaves marks on the shoulders and gives way under the weight.

  • Leave space in the wardrobe: even a breathable fabric needs air around it. A packed wardrobe presses the fabric flat and creates creases.

  • Label your covers: in a business with many items, a small label on the hanger or beside the window saves time with every retrieval.

Common Mistakes

  • Storing in the dry cleaner’s plastic bag: the thin bag is meant for short transport only. For long storage it traps moisture and vapor, and can cause yellowing and odor. Take the garment out and move it to a fabric cover.

  • Folding a long dress into a short cover: a fold left for months in a delicate fabric such as satin, silk or chiffon can leave a line that does not come out with ironing.

  • Closing the zipper only partway: a small gap at the bottom is enough to let dust in. Close it all the way.

  • Squeezing a full dress into a flat cover: a dress with many layers needs a cover with depth, otherwise the petticoats get crushed.

Frequently asked questions

What are the dimensions of the garment cover?

60 cm wide and 180 cm long. The length suits evening gowns, narrow-cut wedding gowns, suits and long coats, and the width fits a standard hanger.

What is the cover made of?

White non-woven fabric with a black frame. The material lets air through better than sealed plastic, so the garment is protected from dust without being closed inside plastic that traps moisture.

How do I know what cover length I need?

Measure the garment from the shoulder to the hem and add at least 10 cm for the hanger. A garment up to about 170 cm long will fit in a 180 cm cover without dragging on the floor.

Can I see the garment without opening the cover?

Yes. At the top there is a clear window through which you can see the collar, the fabric and the color, so you can identify the right garment in the closet without opening the zipper.

Is the cover suitable for a puffy wedding gown?

It suits gowns in a narrow or medium cut. For a gown with petticoats or a wide train, a cover with a side gusset is better, which keeps the volume and doesn't crush the layers.

What is the difference between a flat cover and a cover with a gusset?

A flat cover suits a single garment in a slim cut, such as an evening dress, a suit or a coat. A cover with a gusset has side panels, so it also fits a full-skirted dress, a thick garment or several garments on hangers.

How do you put an evening gown into the cover?

Hang the gown on a hanger, open the zipper all the way and pass the hanger hook through the top opening. Close the zipper slowly from the bottom up, and keep the fabric away from the zipper teeth.

How do I store a garment in a cover for a long time?

Put only a clean, dry garment in the cover, because stains that have not been cleaned turn yellow over time. Hang the cover in a cool, dry, dark closet, and avoid attics, basements and proximity to a heat source. It is a good idea to leave a gap between the covers in the closet.

How do I clean the cover?

Wipe it with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, and let it dry completely before putting a garment in it.

Can covers be ordered in quantity for a business?

Yes. We are direct importers, and for orders in quantity for stores, bridal salons, dry cleaners and sewing workshops you can contact us.
