Product description

Long PEVA Garment Cover: Protecting the Garment from Hanger to Destination

This garment cover is designed for long garments, where dirt or moisture does the most damage. It is 60 cm wide and 180 cm long, so a maxi dress, a suit or a long coat fits inside without folding the hem. The top is rounded to follow the shape of the shoulders and the hanger, so the garment stays in place and there are no empty corners where the fabric folds.

The cover is made of PEVA, a flexible sheet that repels water, dust and dirt. Unlike PVC, the material contains no chlorine, so it is suitable for prolonged contact with delicate fabrics. The zip opens along the full length, so you can put in and take out a dress with a train or lace without pulling it through a narrow opening. The edges are finished with a black border that reinforces them and keeps the cover's shape even after repeated use.

On the back there are two carrying handles, one at the top and one at the bottom. Fold the cover in half with the garment inside, join the two handles and carry it in one hand. That way you don't have to hold a 180 cm cover that drags on the floor as you get into a car, a hall or a studio.

Common uses

  • Handing a garment to a customer: an evening dress or wedding gown after sewing, alterations or hire leaves the salon closed and clean

  • Transport to an event or a photo shoot: the garment arrives without stains, dust or creases from incorrect carrying

  • Short-term hanging in a wardrobe: suits, coats and evening wear between uses

  • Rail in a shop or studio: protecting valuable items hanging near a work area, ironing or steam

  • Travel: a long garment going in the boot of a car or in the garment compartment on a flight

Who the cover is for

Bridal and evening-wear salons use it to hand over dresses and to return them from hire. Designers and dressmakers use it to move a dress between fittings without having to iron it again. Fashion and boutique shops hand over suits and coats in it at the point of sale. Stylists and production crews move clothes between sets in it. It is also suitable for home use, for clothes waiting for the next event. Businesses can order quantities directly from the importer, and wholesale prices are available on request.

Professional tips

Matching the length

The garment should be at least 10 cm shorter than the cover, to leave room for the hanger and stop the hem touching the bottom. For a dress with a long train, fold the train once inwards along the bottom.

Putting the garment in

Open the zip all the way and hang the hanger inside. Arrange the shoulders and the skirt, and only then close the zip from the bottom up. This way lace, sequins and threads don't catch in the zip teeth.

Moisture and ventilation

PEVA is not a breathable material. Only close a completely dry garment inside it, and not right after steam ironing or cleaning. It is recommended to hang the garment in the open air for about half an hour before closing the cover.

Common mistakes

  • Long-term storage in a non-breathable cover: for months and years, especially in a closed wardrobe in a humid season, a breathable non-woven cover is better. A PEVA cover is especially suited to transport, handover and hanging for short periods

  • A ball gown with a full skirt in a flat cover: a dress with petticoats, a crinoline or many layers of tulle needs a cover with side depth so the skirt isn't crushed

  • Reusing a plastic bag from the dry cleaner: a thin bag tears, traps moisture and doesn't protect the garment in transport

  • A cover that is too short for a maxi dress: the hem sticks out below the cover and gets dirty exactly where it touches the floor

How this model differs from other covers in the category

This is a flat, full-length cover made of white, water-resistant PEVA, with handles for carrying it folded. Breathable non-woven covers are better suited to long-term storage in a wardrobe. 3D covers with side depth are better suited to full wedding and ball gowns. You can compare all the options in the Dress & Suit Covers category.

Frequently asked questions

What are the dimensions of the white PEVA garment cover?

60 cm wide by 180 cm long. A maxi dress, a suit or a long coat hanging on a regular hanger fits in it, without folding the hem of the garment.

What is the cover made of?

PEVA, a flexible sheet that repels water and dust and does not contain chlorine like PVC. The edges are finished in a black trim, and the zipper opens along the full length.

How do I carry a 180 cm cover?

Fold it in half with the garment inside and join the two handles on the back. That way the cover is carried in one hand and does not drag on the floor.

Is the cover suitable for storing a wedding gown for years?

It suits transport, handover and hanging for short periods. PEVA doesn't breathe, so for long-term storage in a closet, a breathable non-woven cover is better. For an especially puffy gown, a cover with a side gusset is better.

Can I order a quantity for a bridal salon or a store?

Yes. We are a direct importer and also sell wholesale to salons, designers and stores. For details about an order in quantity, contact us by phone at 03-9444226 or on WhatsApp at 055-2473993.

What is the difference between a PEVA cover and a non-woven fabric cover?

PEVA is waterproof and easy to wipe clean, but it does not breathe, so it mainly suits transport, travel and short-term storage. Non-woven fabric breathes and protects from dust, so it is better for long-term storage of dresses and suits.

When is it worth choosing a PEVA cover?

When the garment leaves the house: transport in a car, a trip, an event or delivery to a client. PEVA is resistant to water, dust and dirt, and easy to wipe.

Which garments fit in a 180 cm cover?

Evening dresses, slim-cut wedding dresses, suits and long coats.

Does a full-skirted dress fit in this cover?

The cover is flat, so it suits dresses in a slim cut. For a wedding or prom dress with a full skirt, a cover with a 25 cm depth is better, in which the fabric does not get crushed.

How do you clean the cover?

Wipe it with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, and let it dry completely before putting a garment in it.
