Women's Display Mannequin – Torso to the Hips, Matte White

Product description
Full female display torso: shoulders, waist and hips on one mannequin
Most garments are worn on the body as a single unit. A one-piece swimsuit, a bodysuit, a fitted dress or a bra-and-panty set only look right when you see how they fall from the shoulders, gather at the waist and open over the hips. A display mannequin that covers only the bust shows half the story. This model is built from the neck to mid-thigh, so the garment is displayed on it in one continuous line, as the customer will see it on herself.
The mannequin is made of rigid plastic with a matte white finish. The matte finish doesn't reflect light from the store lighting or from the flash in photography, so the colors of the garment stay true to the original. The anatomical lines are gently shaped: a defined bust, a marked waist, a rounded rear and a natural transition to the hips. At a height of 83 cm and with circumferences of 88 / 68 / 97 cm (bust / waist / hips), the structure is close to the measurements of an adult woman of average build. Garments in sizes 36 to 38 look natural on it, neither stretched nor loose.
The mannequin has no head, arms or pole, and it stands stably on the straight cut of the hips. This way you can place it directly on a counter, shelf, platform or display table, with no additional stand.
Common uses
Swimwear: one-piece swimsuits, bikinis, tankinis and swimsuits with shorts. The hips let you show the height of the side cut, which is a key question for shoppers.
Lingerie: bra-and-panty sets, bodysuits, corsets and shapewear.
Short fashion: mini dresses and dresses ending mid-thigh, short skirts, shorts and short jumpsuits.
Sports and yoga: short leggings, bike shorts, sports tops and matching sets.
Product photography: photographing for the website and social networks without a model, at a fixed and uniform angle for the entire collection.
Display at exhibitions and fairs: the mannequin is easy to move and requires no stand, so it also suits temporary booths.
Who the mannequin is for
Swimwear and lingerie stores get here the most suitable format for their category: a complete body in real measurements, at a height that fits a counter or a low shop window. Boutiques and fashion chains use it for display on shelves and in checkout areas, where a full-size mannequin doesn't fit. Designers and small manufacturers photograph their collection on it, and online stores get uniform images for all items. For stores and chains setting up several display stations, we supply quantities directly from import, with personal guidance in choosing models.
Professional tips
How to dress it correctly
The mannequin has no legs, so bottom items such as panties, shorts and skirts are threaded on from below, through the hips, and pulled upward. Top items and a one-piece swimsuit are put on over the neck and shoulders. A particularly tight garment is worth stretching slightly before dressing, so that it doesn't stretch out on the shoulders and lose its shape.
Display height
On a counter 90 cm high, the mannequin's bust will reach roughly the eye level of a customer standing in front of it, and that's the viewpoint that draws attention. In a shop window, it's worth raising the mannequin on a cube or platform, so it isn't swallowed below the line of sight from the street.
Arranging several mannequins together
Two or three identical mannequins side by side, each in a different shade of the same model, show the customer the range of colors without her having to search among the shelves. The matte white suits every garment color, from black to pastels.
Cleaning and maintenance
It's enough to wipe with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Don't use abrasives or solvents, which may damage the matte finish and create shiny spots.
Common mistakes in choosing and using
Confusing a display mannequin with a dress form. The mannequin is made of rigid plastic and you can't stick pins into it. It's intended for displaying finished garments, not for sewing and fitting patterns. For sewing work you need a dress form with a fabric cover and padding.
Trying to display long trousers on it. The body ends at mid-thigh, so long trousers, maxi dresses and knee-length skirts will hang limply. For long items, a mannequin with legs is suitable.
Ignoring the measurements. A size 42 or larger garment will look loose on the mannequin, and a size 34 garment will stretch. It's worth comparing the garment's measurements to the circumferences in the specification before dressing.
Placing it on an uneven surface. The mannequin stands on the hip cut, so it needs a flat, stable surface. On a sloped or wobbly surface, it's better to use a flat platform.
How this model differs from the other female display mannequins
The series has several female display mannequins, each built for a different role. This model is the full body in average measurements: bust 88, waist 68, hips 97 and height 83 cm. Alongside it is a full female torso in a slim, toned cut (bust 85, waist 65, hips 89), which suits collections in small sizes. Anyone who needs only part of the body will find an upper torso for bras and tops, a female lower part and a rear model for panties. When you need to display a whole set on one mannequin, in sizes that fit most customers, this is the model.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What are the dimensions of the full-body women's display mannequin?
The form is 83 cm high, shoulder width 43 cm, bust circumference 88 cm, waist circumference 68 cm and hip circumference 97 cm. These are the measurements of an adult woman with an average build, so garments in sizes 36 to 38 look natural on it.
What is the form made of?
The form is made of rigid plastic with a matte white finish. The material is durable for everyday use in a store, easy to clean with a damp cloth, and the matte finish doesn't reflect light under store lighting or in photography.
Can I stick pins into the form and sew on it?
No. This is a rigid plastic display mannequin, intended for displaying ready-made garments. For sewing, fitting patterns and pinning, you need a dress form with a fabric cover and padding.
Which garments suit displaying on the form?
The form suits any garment that ends at mid-thigh: one-piece swimsuits and bikinis, underwear sets, bodysuits, short dresses and skirts, shorts and sportswear sets. Long trousers and long dresses won't be displayed properly on it, because it has no legs.
Does the form need a stand or a base?
No. The form stands on its own on the straight cut of the hips and is placed directly on a counter, shelf, stage or display table. It needs a flat, stable surface. For a shop window, it is recommended to raise it on a cube or a stage.
Which garment size does the form suit?
A bust of 88 cm, waist of 68 cm and hips of 97 cm suit garments in the medium sizes. It's worth measuring one item from the collection before ordering several forms.
Why a matte white finish?
Matte white is neutral and does not reflect light, so the colors of the garment look accurate in the store and in photography. It suits almost any collection.
How do I place the form in a shop window?
Stand it on a flat, stable surface, and you can use a cube or a low stage to raise it. In a large window, it is worth placing several forms at different heights.
How do I clean the form?
A soft, damp cloth with a little mild soap. Do not use abrasives or solvents, which could leave marks on the matte finish.
What is the difference between it and Lady Lean?
Lady Lean is narrower and taller, with a 65 cm waist and 89 cm hips. This form is wider, with a 68 cm waist and 97 cm hips, and suits most garments in medium sizes.
